About Mo
Mo Medusa (they/them) is a Disabled Lesbian author and artist from the north side of Chicago. Their work lives between horror and tenderness, blending lived experience with the truly terrifying. With a love for book arts and print media, Mo creates hand bound books, zines, and other hand-crafted pieces, infusing horror and beauty into everything they make. Their stories are Queer, body-forward, and rooted in grief, obsession, and survival.
Beyond writing, Mo has a passion for creating in many forms. In 2024, they began selling their handmade items at vendor events and craft markets, working with several different mediums and finding out more about who they are as an artist. But in the end, their love for books would be the driving force for their art moving forward. In early 2025, Mo discovered their love of book-binding and book arts after a class at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago, IL, and have been creating handmade books at their home studio ever since.
With a passion for both writing and book arts, Mo has taken their creativity to the next level: writing stories for readers all over the world, and making 100% hand-crafted books for fellow writers and artists to explore their own talents.
