It’s in us all. Our lives. Our memories. The things we love.
But how can we take those concepts and experiences and infuse them into our writing and storytelling?

Workshop Highlights:
* Themed Prompts & Lessons: Workshops will be structured to expand upon the themes discussed during the lesson.
* Open Ended Discussion: Writers will be given the opportunity to share and ask for feedback in a respectful, mindful way—with no judgment or harsh critiques.
* Draft New work or Deepen Existing Projects: Expand upon a piece you’re already creating (or create a brand new piece!) and learn how to weave your experiences and influences directly into the text.
* Drafting in the Moment: Get out of your head and into the page! Writing blocks will be guided by prompts and key elements, but the words are all directed by you. There are no rules to what you can create.
* Learn from an Experienced Author: Mo Medusa is a published author with over 20 years of experience. They have a BA in Creative Fiction Writing, are currently studying for their MFA in Prose & Poetry, and will soon be a college professor in Creative Writing.
This interactive creative writing workshop will broaden the scope of the writer’s work, allowing them to build on the ideas, concepts, and layers of their own lives to find their voices as writers and craft compelling narratives. This 2-hour stress-free workshop will give writers ample time to begin drafting essays, poems, or stories that highlight who they are as artists.
Open to all writers and all experience levels!

In person writing workshops will be held on the last Sunday of every month at October Cafe Elston, unless otherwise stated.
